Despite the fact that future Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers received the football first on Monday evening, it was actually the Los Angeles Rams and quarterback Jared Goff that found the end zone first. Goff connected with veteran wide receiver Robert Woods on the Rams' opening drive with the seasoned signal caller methodically leading his team right down the field end route to the first seven points of the pivotal NFC clash.

With both the Buccaneers and Rams right in the thick of the current NFC playoff picture, the Monday evening's victor will inch just a little closer to ultimately securing a spot in the postseason.

While the Buccaneers only have the hobbled New Orleans Saints to compete with in the NFC South, the Rams unfortunately have a trio of formidable foes in the NFC West as Los Angeles, the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals make up the toughest group in all of football in 2020.
