The Toronto Raptors have called up big man Chris Boucher from the G League.

Per NBA.com, the 25-year-old was picked up by the Raptors from their G League affiliate, the Raptors 905. He will likely take the spot of Jonas Valanciunas, who is set to miss at least a month after undergoing surgery on his left thumb.

Recently, Boucher exploded for 47 points — the new G League season high and franchise record. He was 16-of-28 from the floor, 4-of-11 from distance, and 11-of-14 from the line. Along with his scoring outburst, he also tallied nine blocks and eight rebounds.

Below is a clip of Boucher's career-night, as posted by NBA G League on Twitter:

Boucher, who signed a two-way contract before the season, was named Player of the Month in November. Through 14 games, Boucher is averaging 29.0 points, 11.6 rebounds and 4.6 blocks per contest.

Earlier in the season, he played for the Raptors for three games in limited action, where he tallied 13 points and added seven rebounds, and three blocks. Prior to the Raptors, he also had a short stint with the Golden State Warriors and its G League team, the Santa Cruz Warriors.

Boucher will join the Raptors, who currently sport a 23-7, when they go up against the Portland Trail Blazers (15-13) on Friday.
