When players shoot free throws, it has been a common practice for them to give high fives to teammates, regardless if they make the attempt or not. The habit has become second nature for some, including DeMar DeRozan, who even taps his “imaginary friends,” when his teammates are not near.

The Toronto Raptors guard has already done it a couple of times this season, and when asked why he continues doing it, DeRozan made it known that it’s his way of showing his love to teammates friends during games, according to Josh Lewenburg  of TSN Sports.

It may seem odd, and not something often seen on the court, but DeMar DeRozan and the Raptors' fans are not complaining at all if that makes him more effective in shooting free throws, and as long as the team continues to win games. So far, the three-time All-Star has been effective with it, shooting 81.0 percent from that distance for the year.
