Goran Dragic has appeared in just five games for the Toronto Raptors this season. He has played only five games for them this season after stepping away from the team indefinitely in November due to personal reasons. Dragic's desire to play with the rebuilding Raptors may have factored into his decision, though. The veteran point guard is looking to compete for a title, which the Raps are not equipped for right now.

When the Raptors took on the Miami Heat this past Friday, they saw Dragic. The catch was that they saw him in the stands. This is not the first time during his hiatus from the Raptors that he has been spotted in Miami.

Dragic's time in Toronto was practically over from the time it began. He stated that he had “higher ambitions” than playing for the Raptors shortly after being traded there, all but ensuring his time with the franchise would be brief. Doug Smith of the Toronto Star reports that the Raptors are extremely likely to trade Dragic before the trade deadline.

According to multiple NBA sources, granted anonymity because nothing has been finalized, the Raptors are finding great interest in a myriad of differently structured deals for the veteran point guard and he is almost certain to be dealt near the Feb. 10 NBA trade deadline.

…nothing is guaranteed but the sources indicate there are many different opportunities for Toronto to turn the 35-year-old guard into something tangible at the deadline.

Dragic's contract, which is worth $19 million, expires after this season. It will be interesting to see what Toronto can get for its aging, disgruntled point guard.
