By landing former Memphis Grizzlies big man Marc Gasol an hour before the trade deadline, the Toronto Raptors emerged as one of the big winners of this season's edition of the trade deadline fiasco. However, it appears that the team are far from done, with Raptors president Masai Ujiri claiming that Toronto intends to be very active in the buyout market.

Moreover, Ujiri was also quoted as saying that he has already taken the first steps in this regard by speaking to a number of agents of players who are likely to be bought out by their respective teams within the next couple of days.

There are currently a good number of big names in the buyout market, but one player that comes to mind as a potentially good fit for the Raptors is veteran swingman Wes Matthews. The 32-year-old sharpshooter is now part of the New York Knicks (with a buyout impending) after being traded by the Dallas Mavericks in the deal that centered around Kristaps Porzingis.

However, the Indiana Pacers are reportedly very close to signing Matthews to a deal, so the Raptors will need to act fast if they have any hopes of somehow landing the services of the 6-foot-5 guard/forward.

Regardless of who the Raptors end up signing from the buyout market, it is still undeniable that they are now a much stronger side than they were a couple of days ago. The front office has gone all out, and there is no clearer indication that the team wants to win now.
