In recognition of her birthday, Toronto Raptors shooting guard Norman Powell presented his mother with a 2020 Range Rover. Powell tied a red bow to the hood of the vehicle and led his mother to the driveway, where she was surprised to find the car waiting.

Powell later shared the moment with his followers on Instagram. In his caption, the San Diego native noted that he feels blessed to have the opportunity to make his mom smile so big on her birthday. He also joked about the fact that his mother got a 2020 model car before he did:

“Look at me,” Powell's mother said as she pumped her fist in delight. “Look at me. Thank you! It's so cool. It's enormous!”

Powell, now 26 years of age and entering his fifth season of NBA service, made 60 appearances with the Raptors last season (three starts), racking up averages of 8.6 points on 48.3 percent shooting from the field (40 percent from beyond the arc), 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists in a career-high 18.8 minutes per outing.

Toronto enjoyed a great run last season, as the team finished the 2018-19 campaign with a 58-24 overall record. The Raptors then went on to claim their first championship in franchise history by defeating the Golden State Warriors in 4-2 fashion.

Without a doubt, the Raptors will be looking to make another run at the playoffs in the coming season. For now, though, Powell and his mother have some cruising to do.
