The Toronto Raptors have officially signed former Cavs and Warriors combo guard Patrick McCaw, the team announced in a press release on Thursday.

Patrick McCaw signed a multi-year deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Dec. 30, a contract the Golden State Warriors decided not to match. McCaw was a restricted free agent and didn't want to play for the Warriors anymore.
The Cavs waived McCaw after just three games on Jan. 6. The Warriors asked the league to investigate the move because they felt that Cleveland helped McCaw become an unrestricted free agent by signing and waiving him so quickly.
After clearing waivers, Patrick McCaw reached a deal with the Raptors, who have the best record in the NBA. The 23-year-old has career averages of 3.9 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 131 NBA games while shooting 41.8 percent from the floor, 29.5 percent from beyond the arc and 77.5 percent from the free-throw line.
How ironic would it be if the Raptors and Warriors meet in the NBA Finals? Patrick McCaw won two championships with Golden State, but he didn't want to stay in the Bay Area because he reportedly wanted more playing time. We'll see if he gets that opportunity in Toronto.
The first time we can see McCaw with the Raptors will be on Friday when Toronto hosts the Brooklyn Nets.
