DeMar DeRozan is a fine scorer, who is one of the few players remaining in the league religiously relying on two-point jumpers to get buckets. It should not be forgotten, however, that DeRozan is among the meanest dunkers in the NBA today.

On Wednesday night, the Toronto Raptors swingman even added another name to his list of victims: Detroit Pistons forward Anthony Tolliver, who probably saw his life flash in front of him when DeRozan eviscerated him midair with this huge, in-your-face throwdown that would probably haunt Tolliver for the rest of his NBA career.

DeRozan’s slam sent several Raptors fans in the building into absolute pandemonium, as you can see in the video below.

The timing of DeMar DeRozan’s dunk was also perfect. Just before DeRozan ripped Tolliver apart, the Raptors were behind by a point with only 10.1 seconds left following Blake Griffin’s own and-one play on the other end of the court. DeRozan would make the succeeding free throw shot to give Toronto a two-point lead with 4.6 ticks left on the game clock.

The Toronto Raptors arrived in Motor City Wednesday night looking to extend their five-game win streak, which they did, as DeRozan and company edged the Pistons in overtime, 121-119, to improve their record to 47-17 – the best in the Eastern Conference. As for Detroit, the Pistons plunge to their fourth-straight defeat, dampening further their dimming playoffs hopes.

The Raptors next get the Houston Rockets at home this Friday in a meeting between the top teams in their respective conferences.
