Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson finally got over the hump as he led his team to a huge win over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. It was a much-anticipated duel between the former MVPs and this time, finally, Jackson and his team came out on top with a 36-35 comeback win against the reigning NFC champs.

Prior to Sunday's win, Jackson had been 0-3 against the Chiefs since taking over the starting QB role for the Ravens. He was even famously quoted for calling KC their team's kryptonite which he immediately addressed after the win.

“I called them [kryptonite] one time, Mr. Jamison. ONE time,” Jackson said post-game (via Sarah Ellison). “It feels good to get that monkey off our back. We got to move onto Detroit now. We haven't won the Super Bowl yet. We have to stay focused,”

Jackson and the rest of Baltimore weren't looking good early on Sunday night. The Chiefs offense was running routes against the Ravens while Jackson couldn't find his mark. After being picked twice and sacked once, Jackson put his team on his back and completely took over in the fourth where he outscored the entire KC team 12-0 en route to a huge come-from-behind win.

The 2019 NFL MVP knows that the pressure will continue to surround him as the Ravens seem to always fall short when it comes to the postseason. Although this huge win can easily switch the narrative for the franchise, Jackson isn't relying on it and is clearly not paying attention to all the external noise.

“Noise will go away, and then it will come back somehow. It's always going to be like that as long as I'm playing. So, I don't care about it.” Jackson adds.
