Washington Redskins coach Jay Gruden still doesn't have a plan for who will start at quarterback Week 5 against the New England Patriots.

On a conference call on Wednesday a Patriots beat writer asked if he had an answer who would be starting under center.

“We don't have one right now,” Gruden answered when asked what the Redskins' QB plan was, per The Boston Globe.

The Redskins have Colt McCoy, Dwyane Haskins, or Case Keenum that they can start, and Gruden said it could take all the way up to kickoff to decide who will start.

Earlier in the season, Gruden said that Haskins would get a chance when he was ready but when he filled in during the last game for Case Keenum, it looked like he might not be ready. Against the New York Giants, Haskins threw for 107 yards, zero touchdowns, and three interceptions.

It will be interesting to see where Gruden and the Redskins go, but Gruden needs to make the right decision and start the guy who gives them the best chance to win right now.

Gruden is coaching for his job right now and playing for the future shouldn't be important right now because he might not be around to see past this season.

If Gruden and the coaching staff really don't know who they are going to start, that seems like a real problem. This feels like a situation where the Redskins are trying to keep the Patriots on their toes in terms of who they will start.

No matter who starts they are going to have their hands full trying to move the ball against a good Patriots defense.
