Basketball isn't as fabricated as the NBA may seem today. Missed travels, endless flops all have tainted a game of grit. However, some players and even teams embrace the dirtiness of basketball; but no team plays out of the principle of physicality more than the Memphis Grizzlies, whose home is formally known as the “Grind House.”

In their most recent contest against Houston, the Grizzlies were trying to hold off an explosive Rockets offense from rallying through a lead they had built through three quarters. With a sizable but far from safe advantage, Rockets point guard and MVP candidate James Harden initiated a series of questionable plays. Still, Memphis was not deterred.

Missing two potential fouls, the refs allowed Houston the advantage only to be overwhelmed by the Grizzlies' hustle. Credit to the Grizzlies; hard work truly is the essential ingredient to winning despite referees.
