The Toronto Raptors have inquired about forward/center Boris Diaw, who was expected to be waived by the Utah Jazz on Thursday morning, according to Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune.

Diaw is coming off one of the worst scoring seasons of his career, having small, but meaningful contributions with a veteran group in a limited role.

The 35-year-old Frenchman has clearly slowed down from his days of prominence, settling into a second-to-third unit role with the team.

A role as a veteran presence and a mentorship one can be expected of the versatile big man, who at this point in his career has still a place in the NBA as one of the best glue guys in a locker room.

He posted averages of 4.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game in his lone year with the Jazz.
