In what is the most shocking development in an incredibly stunning story, Rick Pitino is reportedly the unidentified Coach 2 in the FBI's affidavit. Basically, if things were awful at Louisville as they are now, they are about to get worse 10 times over.

According to CBS News and the Wall Street Journal, Rick Pitino was the man written about as Coach 2. That Coach 2 was linked to a scheme to funnel money from Adidas to a top 2019 prospect that appears to be Balsa Koprivica.

Louisville can't be thrilled about this, though they are certainly not the victims here.

Koprivica is a top ten prospect in the class that was considered a favorite to land with the Cardinals. He recently transferred out of a Nike-affiliated high school program to Windermere Prep and switched from a Nike AAU team to 1 Family.

Brad  Augustine, who was one of the 10 people arrested on Tuesday, heads the 1 Family.

In the FBI complaint, Augustine is quoted as saying that he expects Adidas to help fund payments to Koprivica’s family because “no one swings a bigger d*** than [Pitino]” at Adidas. “All [Pitino] has to do is pick up the phone and call somebody, [and say] these are my guys, they’re taking care of us.”

This is all coming after Pitino released a second statement denying any knowledge of any happenings. Here is that statement:

Louisville has already had two 5-star high school players decide to not attend the program after originally committing.

This story is (forever) developing and we will keep you posted as more information comes to light. If this is true, however, Pitino can face actual jail time.
