Rob Font has been climbing up the ranks in the bantamweight division of the UFC and has been beating top contenders. Last time out he outboxed Cody Garbrandt in a high-level main event in May.

Now Rob Font continues his climb up the UFC rankings by taking on Jose Aldo in a very important matchup. Aldo is known as a very quick striker, something Cody Garbrandt also shares with him.

Rob Font is used to the speed after fighting Cody Garbrandt. He believes he knows which of the two is faster and who knows how to use their speed better.

“I definitely believe Cody might even be a little quicker than him,” Rob Font told ClutchPoints. “Cody you can tell he's just a pure athlete. You also gotta put in the experience that Jose Aldo has. He might not be as fast as Cody, but he might be able to know when to use the speed a little better than Cody.”

Rob Font is used to the fast fighters and he knows how to prepare for them. It's one thing to be fast, it's another thing to be fast when you have someone in your face preventing you from using it effectively.

“Just constantly keeping this guy guessing, keep keeping them guessing,” Font said of dealing with the speed. “And keeping something in his face. You can be fast if nothing's in your face and when you're leading a dance. But, if you're constantly guessing, and I'm always moving, and I'm always keeping something in your face. It's going to be a lot harder just to use your pure speed and you have to set that up a lot. It's a lot more than just using it and just coming out there and being athletic.”

Rob Font will be looking to put all of his tools to the test when he meets Jose Aldo in the main event of the December 4, UFC Fight Night event.
