Even after successfully trading for Chris Paul last month, the Houston Rockets are continuing to look for ways to further improve their roster. They have re-signed Nene for three more years, and have also added P.J. Tucker to their fold, but their front office is far from satisfied with what they currently have.

It has been reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski that the team trying to find a way to add more players and assets, if they can somehow flip the non-guaranteed contracts they have amounting to almost $10 million.

The amount could be used to sign more key pieces that could help them strengthen their contention for the title next season, or even receive draft picks which they can use in the future. However, it’s more likely that they will go after some free agents and try to lure them to Houston, as general manager Daryl Morey has shown that he has a win-now attitude.

The Rockets’ situation is definitely something worth keeping an eye on and it will be very interesting to see what their front office can come up with. Non-guaranteed contracts should have some teams interested especially those that are looking to save some cap space.
