The Houston Rockets have managed a re-structured deal with free agent forward Nene worth $11 million over three years, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Nene's prior four-year, $15 million offer was taken back after it violated the Over-38 provision, which wouldn't allow the team to sign a player to a long-term contract past the age of 38.

The Brazilian international played a key role off the bench with his crafty veteran savvy on the court and his energy on the boards. The 34-year-old was happy to be back in Houston, immediately sending a positive message to the fan base.

Nene was one of Houston's key role players, providing an inside presence on the glass and the low-post. Despite playing the least amount of minutes in his 15-year career, he thrived under Mike D'Antoni‘s dynamic offensive system, helping the rim-running big man make 61.7 percent of his field goals — a career-high.

Nene played the first nine-and-a-half seasons with the Denver Nuggets, and the next four-and-change with the Washington Wizards before signing with Houston last offseason.

This deal will keep the big man in Clutch City until his 18th season in the league, should he stay healthy. He averaged 9.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks per game in 17.9 minutes per game in 67 games with the Rockets.
