Cade Cunningham was the clear-cut, No. 1 prospect for just about everyone entering the 2021 NBA Draft. The Detroit Pistons agreed and took him with the first pick. That hasn't stopped Houston Rockets rookie and the No. 2 overall pick, Jalen Green, from speaking his truth.

Per Jackson Gatlin of the Locked on Rockets podcast, Green feels some sort of way about the Pistons passing on him at No. 1.

“I'm sorry for y'all. I'ma keep working, keep perfecting my craft. Every time I step on that floor, Detroit especially, I'm coming.”

It just so happens that the Pistons and Rockets will play each other on Tuesday night in a premier NBA Summer League matchup. Green is more than ready.

“Yeah, obviously I feel some type of way that I went No. 2 and I feel I should have been No. 1. But it’s all good. We’ll show (Tuesday). It’s going to be a good game. No. 1 vs. No. 2. That’s what people are going to be looking for.”

It's hard to not appreciate and respect the Rockets rookie being this blunt and speaking his mind. It doesn't feel as though he's trying to knock Cunningham, just that the Pistons passed on him in general.

Green went bananas in his summer league debut for the Rockets, scoring 24 points on 9-18 shooting. He added 5 rebounds in the win over the Cavaliers and went 4-9 from three-point range.

Tuesday's matchup should be fun and it's possible the Pistons struck gold by selecting Cunningham while the Rockets did the same with Green.
