Many rumors have surfaced recently suggesting that the Brooklyn Nets are considering trading James Harden. Harden played for the Houston Rockets for most of his career until being dealt to the Nets, who sought to build a big three with Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Harden.

The majority of these speculations claim that Harden will be traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Ben Simmons. It may make sense for both sides, as Harden has nearly made it apparent that he is not enjoying his time in Brooklyn as much as he did last season in Houston. There are also new rumors that Harden could return to Houston, according to Sam Amick of The Athletic,

“The Rockets have made it clear to James Harden that they would welcome him back in Houston them if that was ever in the cards.”

It might not make sense for him to reunite in Houston from both prespectives. The Rockets have been one of the worst teams in the NBA this season, but that was to be anticipated considering their youth and lack of talent on their roster. They wouldn't gain anything by adding James Harden since they still don't have any pieces around him who can make a difference for this squad. Harden could however be interested in returning to Houston because it was where he played the best basketball of his career.

There are a lot of options for James Harden, so it'll be fascinating to see where he ends up. There's a good chance he doesn't get traded and stays in Brooklyn to attempt to win a championship with the Nets this season.
