Earlier in the month, Atlus released some teasers regarding the Persona franchise's 25th anniversary. This will be taking place in September. They teased seven different announcements for the anniversary. Persona 6 is speculated to be one of these. Recent leaks, however, have shed some speculative light into what else is in store for the celebration.

Leaks come from Zippo, who previously leaked Metroid Dread at Nintendo's E3. He suspects that one of these announcements will be a remaster for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. On his blog, he posted the following:

“With Atlus' recent announcement that Persona is getting some soft of shendig for it's 25th anniversary in September, people are obviously wondering what the announcements will actually be. I can tell you one, today.

Arc System Works' Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is getting a remaster, and is coming to modern platforms. I haven't been told whether or not it will feature new content, but I would personally be very surprised if it doesn't.”

Additionally, the Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is apparently releasing next year. A remaster for the fighting game title would certainly be welcome. This would diversify Persona‘s genres that are available for modern platforms. The mainline titles remain to be some of the best turn-based JRPGs available, while spinoffs are free to explore other gameplay modes. One example is Persona 5 Strikers, which brings the franchise into the musou genre.

Personally though, I'm hoping one of these secret announcements will be a remake of Persona 3 Portable alongside Persona 3 Fes. Please Atlus, give us the full Female MC experience.
