Ryan Tannehill is a great veteran quarterback. The former Miami Dolphins and now Tennessee Titans signal-caller has been instrumental in the comeback of the Titans to the playoffs. He spent seven years in Miami before being traded to Tennessee, where he immediately won the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award. Of course, Tannehill could not do it all alone. Thankfully, he has much support at home, coming from his wife, Lauren Tannehill. The pair have had a steady relationship for 14 years, capped by two children. In this piece, we will take a deep dive into the life of the significant other of Ryan Tannehill. Ladies and gentlemen, Ryan Tannehill's wife, Lauren Tannehill.

The pair met in 2009. They attended Texas A&M University, where Ryan was the star quarterback while Lauren studied Communications and Psychology. The duo, funnily enough, did not meet in college. They met in Florida during Spring Break. Upon meeting, they hit it off right away, connecting on their love for faith. Since then, both have been very open about their commitment to religion and family, which they hold close to their heart.

After three years of dating, the Tannehill's tied the knot in Mexico.  In terms of Lauren on her own, she has been very active in the community through many mediums. Rather than just relying on her online following, Lauren has been involved in many things and built up her life with Ryan's career. Let's look at Lauren Tannehill's life outside of her relationship with Ryan Tannehill.

Lauren Tannehill's background

Lauren Tannehill was born on July 28, 1988, in Atlanta, Georgia, only one day after her husband, Ryan, was born. While Ryan did not relocate to Texas A&M, Lauren had to leave her lifetime home in Atlanta to study communications and psychology in the Lone Star State. However, after meeting her significant other, one cannot imagine she can complain much.

Lauren's income is also beneficial to the Tannehill family. Like many NFL wives and girlfriends, she has amassed a following on all social media accounts. Her Instagram has around 57 thousand followers, and she uses it to share pictures of her husband and two kids. On Twitter, she interacts with fans and usually does small trivia tournaments for game tickets, showing her love and appreciation for the support her husband gets.

While Ryan was playing for the Miami Dolphins, Lauren Tannehill did modeling jobs around South Florida. She has worked with brands like Da Vinci wedding dresses, Maxim, and Gucci. Her modeling gig is, however, only something she does occasionally. Her primary job is to be a cardiology assistant, and she has done this work since exiting college. Having a husband in the NFL and being financially secure did not stop Lauren from achieving personal success.

As said above, the couple values their faith a lot. As reported by the Sun-Sentinel, Lauren and Ryan had deep conversations about religion and faith instantly. She continued to state that it took her only three months to know that she and Ryan were meant to be. Lauren was right, as the couple has been married for almost 12 years, and together 15. They have two kids, Steel Tannehill, born in 2016, and Stella Tannehill, born in 2018.

Lauren has also been open about the pair's love for dogs. Their two dogs are stars of Lauren's Twitter account, usually sporting the gear of her husband's current team. They are proud owners of Bear, a black labrador, and Coco, a dachshund. That is the only part of their home life that is public, as they like to keep their privacy.

Lauren's life with Ryan is not without controversy, however. In 2014, after returning a rented car, Lauren left an AR-15 in the back seat of the SUV. The customer getting the car next found the gun and took it to the police station. The semi-automatic weapon is illegal in a couple of states. However, the gun was legally owned by the Tannehill family. It was a case of Lauren simply forgetting it in the back. She is not shy to share that she is an avid fan of guns, spending a lot of time at the shooting course.

Regardless of the controversy, here's to hoping Ryan Tannehill and Lauren Tannehill will have many golden years ahead of them.
