Jameis Winston is going to be suiting up for the New Orleans Saints in 2020, but he still calls Tampa Bay home. Even though he was replaced by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Winston remains committed to Tampa Bay charity work.

Earlier this week, Winston agreed to a one-year, $1.1 million deal with the Saints. Besides the $1.1 million in salary, Winston can make up to nearly $4 million in incentives next season.

Before joining New Orleans, the Buccaneers decided to replace Winston by signing Tom Brady. As a result, Winston was forced to look for a new team to join, with him having to accept a backup role. Nevertheless, he's kept a positive attitude and continues to do fantastic work in the Tampa Bay community.

As a matter of fact, to help struggling restaurants during the coronavirus pandemic, Winston is donating $30,000. In addition, he is going to help provide meals to over 1,000 families each week over the next month. The former first-round pick spoke about why he feels the need to help Tampa Bay.

“This is my city, so I’m happy to do whatever I can to make a positive impact on the city,” the 26-year-old said Saints QB, via The Athletic. “I live here. I’m a resident here, so despite where I’m playing, I’m always going to serve my community.”

After five seasons with the Buccaneers, Winston is continuing his career with Tampa Bay's NFC South rivals in the Saints. Despite joining their rivals, Winston doesn't have any hard feelings toward the city that supported him since he was drafted in 2015.
