The Seattle Seahawks' blow-out victory over the San Francisco 49ers came with a painful price.

Running back Chris Carson dislocated his index finger. He was one of two Seahawks players to leave in the fourth quarter. Guard D.J. Fluker was the other one as he went down with a hamstring injury.

According to John Boyle, head coach Pete Carroll stated that Carson “should be ok.”

Carson then had his finger stitched and it seems like he'll be alright.

The second-year player from Oklahoma State is seeing more playing this season. In 10 games this year he has 704 rushing yards with four touchdowns and 13 receptions for 127 yards.

He is coming off an injury-riddled 2017 campaign in which he broke his ankle. The setback limited him to only four games with 208 rushing yards and seven receptions with one touchdown.

Losing him would be a big blow to the Seahawks. He is currently the team's leading rusher with 635 yards and also leads the team in rushing touchdowns with four.

Seattle is on a three-game winning streak. They are currently in the playoff picture with a 7-5 record. That is good for the 5th seed so far. But they need to win their remaining assignments as the playoff race in the NFC is tight.

The Minnesota Vikings are only 0.5 games behind them, and a loss could potentially hinder their chances of securing their spot. The Carolina Panthers' loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is good news for the Seahawks as they move down one game behind them.
