The Seattle Seahawks may be getting a big piece of their offense back.

According to Curtis Crabtree of Pro Football Talk, wide receiver David Moore could return to the field this Sunday against the New Orleans Saints after missing the first two weeks of the season with a shoulder injury.

“There’s a really good chance that David – he’s got to go day to day, here but he’s practicing to play. That’s a real boost for us,” head coach Pete Carroll said on Wednesday.

Moore was a full participant in practice on Thursday, which obviously bodes well for this status for Week 3.

The 24-year-old is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he played all 16 games and hauled in 26 receptions for 445 yards and five touchdowns and should provide a lift to what is a thin Seahawks receiving corps.

“He’s a vertical threat,” offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer said. “We’ve obviously been able to move him around a lot more this year, he looks really good. But, just the big lay capability. We’ve always talked a little bit about just his size and speed and strength to the ball and things like that. It’ll be fun to have him back out there again.”

Moore, who played his collegiate football at little-known East Central in Oklahoma, was originally selected by Seattle in the seventh round (226th pick overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He appeared in just one contest during his rookie campaign.

The Seahawks have gotten off to a 2-0 start, most recently defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers.
