Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch isn’t just an exciting player to watch. He’s also among the most charismatic figures in the NFL today. Known for his eccentric ways as much for his explosive bursts out of the backfield, Lynch has won the hearts of football fans – and his teammates. Here’s one heartwarming story from Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin, which shows how affable the man ironically called “Beastmode” is, per Brady Henderson of ESPN.

Doug Baldwin, talking about how Marshawn Lynch was universally “beloved” in Seattle's locker room, told a story about a young WR who told Lynch he liked his backpack. Lynch took it off, emptied it out and gave it to him on the spot. Asked which WR it was, Baldwin said it was him.

Marshawn Lynch and Doug Baldwin were teammates for six seasons in Seattle from 2010 to 2015 and won a Super Bowl together in 2014. That said, Baldwin didn’t really need a championship season to form a solid bond with Lynch, whose spontaneous show of generosity has made a lasting impression on the wide receiver. Although a backpack isn’t an expensive donation, it’s the deed that counts for Baldwin.
