Joe Mixon of the Cincinnati Bengals is a fan of Beast Mode. The Seattle Seahawks signed 33-year-old Marshawn Lynch out of retirement on Monday. While Seattle's playoff opponents won't be excited to see the bludgeoning tailback heading their way, those watching from home are.

Cincinnati Bengals third-year running back Joe Mixon is eager to see Lynch back in Seattle. In the past, Mixon mentioned Beast Mode is a mentor to him. The apprentice is giddy to watch him.

“He’s been teaching me about the game and how to prepare for it,” Mixon said on Thursday, per Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. “Hopefully we don’t play at the same time and I can watch it.”

Christmas came on time for Mixon. He noted that he wants to watch him play. He will get just that. The Bengals play at 1 pm ET on Sunday.

The Seahawks will face the San Francisco 49ers on “Sunday Night Football,” giving Mixon enough time to recover from the season finale against the Cleveland Browns and tune in to Cris Collinsworth and Al Michaels commentating on Lynch's return.

The Seahawks brought Lynch out of retirement to aid their playoff run. Injuries recently hit Seattle's running back corps, as their two lead running backs Chris Carson (hip) and Rashaad Penny (ACL) are out for the season with their respective injuries.

The last time Mixon and Co. got to watch Lynch play, he was donning black and silver instead of playing for the Seahawks. Lynch played six games for his hometown Oakland Raiders before announcing his retirement. Like Lynch, Mixon hails from the Bay Area and is equally excited for him to throw it back in January.

We will see what the Seahawks and Marshawn Lynch have to offer against the San Francisco 49ers in the final game of the 2019 NFL regular season. The spotlight will shine brightly on Lynch; how well a show he produces is entirely up to him.
