You simply fall short as a human being walking this great Earth if the following doesn't choke you up at least a little.

This tear-jerking moment comes as the result of the Seattle Seahawks selecting everybody's favorite prospect, Shaquem Griffin, in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Griffin, 22, is a UCF product who's defied all odds en route to the NFL while playing with no left hand. He's now officially reunited with twin brother Shaquill Griffin, a former third-round choice of the same organization.

Twenty-seventeen was the only year the twins weren't together on the field. The twins were inseparable, as expected. They played together at UCF and were teammates through youth football and in high school.

The story of Griffin is one of overcoming great adversity. The kid was born with amniotic band syndrome which forced the fingers in his left hand to never fully develop. The pain was so great that, when he was four, his mother caught him contemplating amputating off his own fingers in the kitchen with a butcher's knife.

Despite the situation, he's overcome it all. His dazzling athletic performance at the NFL Combine proved to personnel decision makers that he could absolutely play at the highest level.

In 122 total games at UCF, Griffin made a seamless transition from defensive back to linebacker and finished with 195 total tackles, 18.5 sacks, five fumble recoveries, three interceptions and a touchdown.

Shaquem Griffin is now an employee of the Seattle Seahawks.
