The Seattle Seahawks have hit a new low in their recent history, certainly since Russell Wilson was drafted 75th overall in the 2012 NFL Draft. Seattle is 3-7 and look like they have no direction and no hope for the future.

Well, I am here to dispel that notion.

For more insight on the Seahawks' Week 12 matchup against Washington, listen below:

There was already chatter about the list of teams that Russell Wilson gave the organization. It was a list of teams he would be willing to accept a trade with. That would scare any Seahawks fan. Let's hope it also scared the organization.

Prior to drafting Wilson, this was a losing franchise. Since he arrived, all they have done is win. They have literally not had a single losing season. They have won 13 games, 12 games twice, 11 games twice, 10 games twice and nine games once.

People have been clamoring to let Russ cook. Well, I think they just might finally do that, starting this week.

Seahawks Week 12 Predictions

4. Russell Wilson looks like himself, throws three touchdown passes

Russell Wilson missed a month of the season with a fractured finger he sustained in a loss to the Rams in Week 5. Since he came back two weeks ago, he has looked like a shell of himself. Wilson has thrown for 368 yards total, with no touchdowns and two interceptions.

But if you think back to the injury, the initial prognosis said it would be a 4-6 week recovery. Wilson missed three games and had a bye week. I believe the Seahawks, and Wilson himself, rushed back because they saw the season slipping away.

Now, entering this matchup vs Washington, I believe this will be the healthiest he has been. Wilson should be able to expose one of the league's worst secondaries. Washington has allowed 270 yards per game passing, which is 28th in the NFL.

Not to mention, Washington had to place their two best defensive players on IR recently.

Three days after placing defensive end Montez Sweat on injured reserve, they had to do the same for one of the game's best pass rushers, Chase Young.

Without the ability to apply pressure on Wilson, I expect him to have a field day vs an awful secondary.

3. Alex Collins rushes for 80 yards and a touchdown

While Russell Wilson was out with the fractured finger, the offense looked dreadful. As I mentioned above, I do not believe he was fully healthy either of the last two games. Not only will Wilson get right this week, but so will the ground game.

Alex Collins has struggled mightily over the last four games, rushing for between 35 and 44 yards in each game. But he has only been getting exactly 10 carries in each game.

This week, in a game I expect the Seahawks to lead for the majority of, I believe we will see a more concerted effort from head coach Pete Carroll to establish a running game. That should lead to some success for Collins who has shown against the Steelers this season, he is not as bad as his numbers suggest.

2. Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs both pick off Taylor Heinicke

The Seattle Seahawks secondary has not been good this season. They traded away a ton of draft picks and a safety for safety, Jamal Adams. To this point, that trade has been a huge loss for Seattle. But this week, I think we see the reason they made that move.

Adams was known as a big hitting safety while with the Jets. He gambles but makes plays. He is yet to make many plays this season but Heinicke has a propensity for over-throwing the deep ball. I mentioned earlier that I expect Seattle to hold a lead for a lot of this game. That will force Washington to have to throw.

Heinicke does not want to drop back 45 times and fire it around the yard. He wants to run the ball 35 times, throw it 30 and make safe, accurate throws in the short to intermediate areas. Heinicke has thrown 10 of his 15 touchdown passes on the road this season. This game is at home in a primetime matchup. I don't think he's ready for the big lights.

1. Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf both go over 100 yards receiving with a touchdown

There are not many two with a tandem at wide receiver as good as DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. Yet, both are having down years along with the entire offense.

Metcalf has not gone over 100 yards receiving since Week 3 vs Minnestota. Lockett, even though he has gone over 100 yards in two of their last three games, has not scored a touchdown since Week 2.

This week in a game with an over/under in Vegas of 47, I think we are going to see a lot of points. Many of those points will come through big plays in the air. Both Lockett and Metcalf can stretch the field and make big plays. There is not really another threat at wide receiver.

There are a lot of issues with the Seahawks. Yes, their season is all but over. But on this day, they will remind everyone of how good they can be.
