In the last few months, there has been constant chatter surrounding All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman's future with the Seattle Seahawks. These rumors have seemingly once again picked up this week with talk centered on the notion that he could be on the move before the start of the free agency period.

In fact, there were a few cryptic messages sent out via social media by a few of his teammates and even his mother that appear to indicate that his time in Seattle has come to an end. According to Ian Rapoport of The NFL Network, the Seahawks are reportedly looking into trade options for the Pro Bowl defensive back.

This falls in line with the reports that Sherman is set to meet with the team on Wednesday to discuss his future, which he had confirmed himself with a few reporters. At the same time, he had also indicated that there wasn't much to report in terms of his future in Seattle at this point in time rather that it was simply a meeting with management.

Sherman appears to be just blanketing the truth of the situation that his time with the team is nearing an end. This could process could pick up in the next few days in a similar manner to what happened with his now-former teammate Michael Bennett, who was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles on Wednesday morning.

The 29-year-old still has one more year left on his four-year, $56 million deal that will pay him $13.2 million in base salary and bonuses for the 2018 season. Despite suffering a torn Achilles tendon and recently undergoing additional minor surgery, Sherman expects to be able to return to the field at some point in June.

Through his first seven years in the league, he has established himself as one of the premier cornerbacks in the league that is backed by four Pro Bowl selections, three First-Team All-Pro nods, and a Second-Team All-Pro selection.
