The Los Angeles Clippers' season ended in utter disaster. They were built to go the distance and ended up going home early. Now they have one more season to determine if this core is going to be enough before Kawhi Leonard and Paul George can opt out of their contracts.

On the daily Locked On Wizards Podcast, host Renee Washington discusses a fake trade that would send Bradley Beal to the Clippers and bring Paul George and Lou Williams to the Wizards.

Renee Washington: The hypothetical move that was thrown out there was to bring in Lou Williams and Paul George for Bradley Beal. Now, do we want sneaking out the bubble to get “wings” Lou Williams? No. Do we want Playoff P? No. How does that make any sense if you're trying to grow? I don't think the Wizards are in full rebuild mode either right now. … They've got the pieces there. They have to find a way to get them healthy and on the floor together. So I don't think it makes sense to move Bradley Beal to bring in two players … for Lou Williams, I think he just has a whole lot of extra going on. He's a great sixth man, he's a great player off the bench. Is he going to step up and be able to be a leader for the Wizards? No, I don't think so. …

If we're talking about having your team get over the hump to be a postseason contender. Why would you have a player on your team? That is not a good postseason player, right? Your goal is to get into the playoffs? Your goal is to be able to compete in the playoffs. So why would you bring in a player who's an All-Star that you know come playoff time might not show up? He might not play well? He might play awesome. A lot of mights in there. Just too many things you have to keep in the back of your head and you're not really sure about in terms of which Paul George we're going to see. So I think for that reason alone, you can't trust him to be the leading player of your franchise. I do not think it makes sense to bring in Paul George, for Bradley Beal.

You know what you're gonna get from Bradley Beal. You know how he's gonna play. You know how he's gonna step up. You know what his numbers are gonna look like. He's very consistent. Paul George and Lou Williams, and aside from the wing fiasco, I just never ever felt like Lou Williams was a great player, he's a good role player. Lou Williams is great because he knows how to find ways to impact the game, find ways to help, and be a presence. He's not a player that's going to be leading your franchise and helping you win games consistently game in and game out, because sometimes he might not show up. Literally, he didn't.
