After being delayed earlier this year, the Six Invitational will be happening this May 2021. This is thanks to the authorization that the French Government had given Ubisoft after they had agreed to set conditions. The tournament will be held over the course of two weeks in Paris, France.

The authorization followed after Ubisoft had agreed to strictly implement sanitary measures in light of the coronavirus pandemic. This meant creating specific rules for teams coming from certain countries.

The 6 Brazilian teams, in particular, were in danger of not being allowed to travel to France amidst their worsening infection rates. To allow their participation, the teams must submit to a stricter set of rules before and after their arrival in France.

As such, the Six Invitational itself will first be held at the players' hotel behind closed doors during the group stages from May 11th to May 16th. This will limit the amount of exposure of participants and staff.

The Six Invitational playoffs will then be held from May 19th to 23rd at the Palais Brongniart, one of Paris' famous and historic venues.

19 teams will be split into two groups, working their way forward. The prize money for the team that comes first is $1,000,000.

The Six Invitational was initially delayed due to problems with travel restrictions which prevented all qualified teams from participating. This led to Ubisoft's postponing of the tournament in the hopes of having all qualified teams compete.

Despite that delay, Wildcard Gaming will unfortunately not be able to join the tournament.

The scheduling of the Six Interventional presents another problem for some as the Razer Rainbow Six Siege Invitational 2021 will also be held in May. While it has led to some confusion, teams qualified for the Six Invitational will surely not participate in the other tournament.
