Outspoken basketball analyst Colin Cowherd is the latest to get on the Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid's hate train, as the broadcaster flat out labeled the Sixers star as a “liability” for the team.

Cowherd is not one to hold his tongue in check, and he has decided to take aim at Embiid for his most recent tirade. Unfortunately for the Sixers big man, Cowherd does have a valid premise here as he points out Embiid's extraordinary injury problems.

Just last Sunday, Embiid was battling another injury in Game 4 of his team's second-round playoffs matchup against the Toronto Raptors. The 24-year-old was reportedly down with an illness and required an IV shot just to be able to take the court.

Embiid definitely looked worse for wear, as he made only 2-of-7 from the field for just 11 points on the evening. He also struggled on the defensive end, which made some people question whether or not he should have suited up for the game in the first place. TNT analysts Shaquille O'Neal and Kenny Smith also called out Embiid for his lackluster performance, as they refused to buy into the big man's excuse.

This has been the theme for Embiid this postseason, as he also missed a game in the Sixers' first-round matchup against the Brooklyn Nets due to another injury. The Cameroonian is also reportedly struggling with some knee problems, which has also had an effect on his play.

Unquestionably, Embiid is one of the best big men in the game today — when healthy. The question is: will he ever be capable of staying on the floor or will periodic injury layoffs define his career?
