Earlier this season, several reports were released that indicated Jimmy Butler was a less-than-desirable teammate to have, citing his feuds with certain members of the Timberwolves organization. However, during his introductory press conference with the Sixers on Tuesday, Butler dismissed this notion.

Via ESPN's Tim Bontemps:

“I don’t think I’m a bad teammate, but people get whatever they want to say out,” Jimmy Butler said during Tuesday's press conference in Philly. “I think I’m an incredible human being, teammate, and I will show that to the guys here.

“You really wouldn't know who I am unless you're around me every day,” Butler added. “And for the most part, that's why I don't worry too much about what everybody says. If you know me and you're around me, you know my heart. You know how I go about what I go about.

“I love my teammates,” Butler said. “I don't think there are too many of them that will tell you I'm a bad teammate.”

It's difficult to gauge how effective Butler will be with the Sixers, who gave up quite a haul to obtain the four-time All-Star. There is no denying the fact that he's a solid player, though. And now that he's officially been traded, he'll be playing alongside Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid.

In his 10 appearances with the Timberwolves this season, Butler, who's expected to play in Wednesday night's game against the Orlando Magic, has posted averages of 21.3 points on 47.1 percent shooting from the field (37.8 percent from beyond the arc), 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.4 steals and a block in 36.1 minutes per outing.
