All game long on Saturday, Philadelphia 76ers fans were booing their team. The Sixers lost to the Brooklyn Nets in Game 1 of their first-round series. Other than small forward Jimmy Butler and center Joel Embiid, the team looked awful.

Speaking to reporters postgame, Embiid addressed what he thought about the Sixers' fans:

Philly is a tough sports town to play in. The fans are never afraid to boo their favorite players and that's what happened on Saturday.

Philadelphia was widely expected to easily defeat the Nets. Now, they are in a 0-1 hole and the fans are upset.

Every time Sixers shooting guard J.J. Redick missed an open 3-pointer, the fans booed. When Ben Simmons went to the free-throw line and missed, the fans booed again.

Butler and Embiid were the only players who didn't get booed on Saturday. It's definitely a game the team will want to forget, although they will have to watch the film of the game on Sunday.

Can Philly rebound from this loss? Absolutely. They have the best player in the series in Embiid and a four-time All-Star in Butler.

The issue is the Sixers' new starting five of Simmons, Redick, Butler, Tobias Harris, and Embiid hasn't played that much together and it showed in the Game 1 loss.
