Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid made history on Saturday night as he led the Sixers to Game 4 victory over the Brooklyn Nets in their first round playoff series.

Embiid finished with 31 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists and five blocks in the match. He also had a couple of steals, all while going 12-of-22 from the field (54.5 percent overall) and a perfect 6-of-6 from the charity stripe.

Remarkably, Embiid's performance put him in some elite company. According to NBA Stats, the Sixers center is only the sixth player to ever achieve a 30-15-5-5 statistical line in a playoff game since blocks were tracked as an official stat.

Interestingly, the last player to achieve the feat before Embiid was no other than Sixers GM Elton Brand. Brand recorded 33 points, 15 boards, five assists and five blocks for the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 5 of their second round playoff series against the Phoenix Suns back in 2006.

Even making his performance more amazing, Joel Embiid sit out Game 3 due to left knee soreness. He was initially listed as doubtful before the contest, but Brett Brown and the team's medical staff eventually allowed him to play.

With that said, no one was expecting that he would provide a dominant performance in Game 4.

The Sixers improved to 3-1 in the series and will now look to close out round one on Tuesday
