Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid did not let Terry Rozier of the Boston Celtics get away with an insult.

In a previous interview, Rozier hit on Embiid by calling the Cameroonian “lame.” And right after their 118-115 win over the Celtics, Embiid clapped back at Rozier.

As observed by Rachel Nichols of ESPN,  Embiid used the location of his post-game Instagram post to throw a not-so-subtle jab at Rozier and their rivals.

As expected, it was a thriller of a game between two of the top teams in the NBA. The game was decided by a late-game perimeter shot by Jimmy Butler who finished with 22 points. Joel Embiid led all scorers with 37 points and 22 rebounds. Tobias Harris added 21 markers, while Ben Simmons had 13 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.

The Celtics, meanwhile, were led by Kyrie Irving who had 36 points. Al Horford dropped 22 points while Rozier added 20 markers off the bench.

Ever since the two teams met at the playoffs last year, both have developed bad blood for one another. This season, the Sixers and Celtics have a chance to meet again in the postseason, probably in the second round. Given their heated feelings for one another, this could be the making of one of the best contemporary rivalries in basketball.
