Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid took the spotlight for himself in Hollywood with a monster performance in their 115-109 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

Embiid was unstoppable all throughout the game, processing his will on every defender thrown at him by the Lakers on his way to a career-night.

What was supposed to be a marquee matchup between rookies Ben Simmons and Lonzo Ball turned out to be a false headline, as the Sixers point-forward notched 18 points, nine rebounds, 10 assists, and five steals over Ball's two points on 1-of-9 shooting, two assists, and a plus/minus rating of -18.

Joel Embiid, though, proved to be the star of the night.

Since we're talking about stats already, Embiid's fantasy points in Yahoo's Daily Fantasy platform for tonight was 93.5. For context, Giannis Antetokounmpo averages 57.2 and LeBron James is at 53.2.

During his postgame interview, the Sixers' rising star was in his element, claiming that he's only harnessed 69 percent of his potential so far.

Joel Embiid has now logged 34 and 35 minutes in his last two games, overshadowing his usual minutes. He had 32 points and 16 rebounds against the L.A. Clippers the other night — that's 50 percent according to Embiid.

Last season, Embiid's per-36 minutes projection were 28.7 points, 11.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 3.5 blocks. But with a year of experience under his belt, it seems that those monster numbers are going to be shattered if the Sixers go all out in utilizing their prized center.

The entire NBA can now go to sleep with the scary prospect of Joel Embiid when he finally plays at 100 percent.
