Joel Embiid was a man possessed for the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night. But before the game, fans weren't even sure if he was going to play.

The Sixers star ended up pouring in 41 points and 20 rebounds on a downright absurd 14-for-17 shooting clip from the field. Embiid's 40-20 stat line was the first since he last did it himself two seasons ago.

It's even more amazing given that there was buzz that there may be an issue with Joel Embiid. The Sixers didn't send him out for warmups, which is often a sign that something was afoot.

But asked about the slight scare after the game, Joel Embiid hilariously admitted he was just being moody about getting some shots up.

Via Rich Hofmann:

Joel Embiid: “Yeah, I didn't feel like warming up. I just went out there and I just wanted to touch the ball and that was it. Early game and I just didn't feel like warming up.”

The Indiana Pacers were simply light work for the MVP frontrunner, who imposed his will on his opponents without needing to even practice a bit beforehand. The man can dominate in his sleep, folks.

The Sixers will need Joel Embiid fully warmed up though if they hope to escape the East this postseason.
