Following a 10-point loss in Game 2 to even out the series, rookie point guard Markelle Fultz is determined to return the favor and get one back on the road in Game 3 against the Miami Heat.

“I think we're gonna be even more motivated [to win] just to be able to go out there,” said Fultz. “When you play against crowds like this, you wanna be able to make them be quiet, make them shut up.”

“We're gonna be motivated to just go out there and play our game. Don't get caught up into the crowd or what they're yelling at us. Just go play our game.”

Fultz only saw five minutes of playing time on Game 2 and finished the game scoreless, going 0-for-3 with a turnover, but he was impactful in a Game 1 win, logging five points, two rebounds, four assists, and two steals in a 15-minute outing.

While his role has been greatly reduced in the postseason, he remains a key asset that can fuel this team coming off the bench.

Fultz is backing up fellow rookie Ben Simmons, who has seen a large bulk of the minutes in the absence of star center Joel Embiid, who is still doubtful to appear in Game 3 tonight.

The 19-year-old rookie finished the season by becoming the youngest player to log a triple-double — posting 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists against the Milwaukee Bucks in a 35-point blowout win.
