New Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris began his career as a Milwaukee Buck, playing 42 games for the team in the 2011-12 season. Harris was only 19 years old but impressed with his athleticism and poise. This caught the eye of the Orlando Magic. Soon, Harris would be swapped in a package for sharpshooter JJ Redick to Orlando.

Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun broke the news Wednesday that the Bucks were never keen on trading Harris. Per Wolstat, former owner Herb Kohl pushed the trade through:

It's funny how things work out in the end. Once traded for each other as centerpieces of opposite deals, Tobias Harris and JJ Redick will now look to compete for a ring in Philadelphia.

Harris is the newest addition to a Philly team in full win-now mode. He was traded early Tuesday morning in a package that included Los Angeles Clippers fan favorite Boban Marjanovic and Mike Scott. The Clippers received promising young guard Landry Shamet, as well as the expiring contracts of Wilson Chandler and Mike Muscala. Additionally, the Clippers received two future first-round picks and two second-rounders.

The Sixers hope that Tobias Harris is the piece to push them over the edge in the Eastern Conference. It can be argued that they now have the strongest starting lineup in the East, surpassing the Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks. Now, we will have to wait and see if Harris can immediately impact the star-studded squad.
