A lot of teams are reportedly interested in trading for Damian Lillard if the Portland Trail Blazers make him available, and if recent rumors are true, the Philadelphia 76ers could be one of them.

When discussing about the Indiana Pacers' offseason plans, J. Michael of the Indianapolis Star mentioned that the Pacers haven't had any talks with the Sixers for a possible Ben Simmons trade. The reporter then noted that Philly is “angling for Lillard.”

Damian Lillard's name has been thrown into several trade talks and discussions, especially after his cryptic comments put some uncertainty on his desire to stay in Portland. While the Blazers have given no indication that they would part ways with their best player, there have been reports the veteran playmaker could force his way out.

For what it's worth, it's not the first time Lillard has been linked with the Sixers. Just recently, Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer also cited that the Sixers are “looking for an opportunity to land” Dame Time.

Sure enough, if the Sixers are to try to trade for Lillard, Ben Simmons is expected to be in the package. Nonetheless, that would still depend on the Blazers' interest in the Aussie and what other assets they can get. Simmons' trade value is at an all-time low after his performance in the 2021 playoffs, so it might be tricky to trade him and get some great returns in the process.
