Since making his debut for the Philadelphia 76ers, Ben Simmons has shown that he can play at the point guard spot and be effective in it as well. Despite standing at 6-foot-10, the Sixers rookie has the ability to locate his open teammates and set them up for easy baskets.

Simmons once again showcased his prowess with his handles and playmaking as he dished out a no-look pass to an open Joel Embiid for the wide-open layup. The move was even more impressive as he faked two Bulls defenders, who both went to the other side, anticipating a pass to Dario Saric instead.

Simmons had another strong performance on Thursday, finishing with 32 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists, to lead the Sixers to a win on the road, 116-115. Embiid also recorded a solid stat line of 30 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, three steals, and four blocks, to improve their win-loss slate to 31-25 for the season and strengthen their hold on seventh place in the East.

The former LSU star's ability to play at the one spot is expected to continue causing problems to their opponents as the season progresses, and even in the playoffs, should they make it that far. He is a nightmare matchup for other teams, as he stretches the defense and takes out one of their big men away from the basket to defend him. If they put a smaller man on him though, he can take advantage of them by posting up.

Simmons is truly a rare talent and is paying the trust the Sixers gave him by taking him number one overall back in 2016, and waiting patiently for him to play his first game for them after getting injured before the start of the 2015-16 season.

He is currently considered as one of the favorites for the Rookie of the Year award.
