Philadelphia 76ers point-forward Ben Simmons tricked the Cleveland Cavaliers transition defense with a fake bounce pass before lobbing a pass to Sixers center Joel Embiid for the alley-oop layup.

Simmons briefly froze the defense with the fake bounce pass. It was all he needed to snap a lob pass to the trailing Embiid who finished a difficult lay-up.

Ben Simmons led the Sixers to victory, 106-99. He finished with a near triple-double of 26 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.

All-Star big man Joel Embiid dropped a double-double of 17 points and 19 rebounds. JJ Redick chipped in 17 markers including four 3-pointers while Tobias Harris had 11 points.

The Sixers have now improved to 43-25 for third place in the Eastern Conference. The team has quickly developed into one of the best teams in their conference. Not too long ago, they were one of the perennial bottom-feeders in the standings; however, given their new and improved lineup, it seems that the sky is the limit for the Philly squad.

With less than 20 games left, Philly is looking to seal the third seed or even go as high as second. They'll end their three-game homestand on Friday against the Sacramento Kings. They'll head to Wisconsin after that for a showdown with the Milwaukee Bucks — the best team in the league.
