DeMar DeRozan delivered the game-winning shot on Sunday against the Dallas Mavericks. After the game, San Antonio Spurs guard Dejounte Murray compared DeRozan with the legendary Kobe Bryant.

Per Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News, Murray shared his thoughts on the DeRozan's game-winning shot. The Mavericks opted to let the four-time All-Star size up his opponent en route to the perimeter jump shot. But according to Murray, even if the Mavs sent the double team, they wouldn't mind if DeRozan still went for it — just like Kobe.

Below is the perimeter shot by DeRozan which turned out to be the game-winner. It was a bit weird that the head coach Rick Carlisle decided not to send at least two players to DeRozan. He's known all over the league as a master of that perimeter shot.

Murray comparing DeRozan to Bryant is not a hasty one. DeRozan has often been compared to Bryant, especially for his footwork and mastery of the perimeter shot, as well as his affinity to the Los Angeles area. Take a look at the compilation clip below featuring some of DeRozan's dazzling footwork.

Apart from his tenacity, his rings, and how great of a human being he is, Bryant graced us with the highest level of footwork in basketball that we've ever seen. DeRozan definitely took a few notes from the Black Mamba.

For his antics, DeMar DeRozan has been tagged as one of the most underrated players of his generation. While he has been selected to All-Star games and named into All-NBA teams, DeRozan has never been showered with praise by the mainstream media or legions of fans. Murray's comments is a good reminder to all basketball diehards that DeRozan is a gem of a basketball player.
