The San Antonio Spurs suffered a disappointing defeat at the hands of the Denver Nuggets on Saturday, 127-112. Unsurprisingly, Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich was not happy at all with how his team came out against Nikola Jokic and Co.

After the game, coach Pop went full Gregg Popovich by deciding to skip his press conference. Well, not completely, as the legendary coach came out with a single sweeping statement depicting how frustrated he was with his team's effort on Saturday night:

“Denver set a good example of how you react after a loss,” Popovich said, via Tom Osborn of the San Antonio Express-News. “And we did the opposite. We showed how you do not want to react after a win. So they handled the loss well. We didn’t handle the win very well at all.”

Saturday's contest was a rematch between these two sides, with the Spurs emerging with a 123-111 victory from Thursday night. Pop had an excellent game plan in the win which his players executed. As he said in his statement above, however, this definitely was not the case when they faced off again two days later.

San Antonio will get a chance to bounce back on Sunday when they take on a struggling New Orleans Pelicans side in the second night of a back-to-back set. You can be sure coach Pop will have a few things to say to his boys before that contest.
