San Antonio Spurs forward Rudy Gay is not doing a good job of masking his resentment for his former team, the Sacramento Kings, though he really does not seem to care at all. Following the Spurs’ huge 116-105 win at home against the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday, Gay caught up with reporters and was told that San Antonio can reserve a seat in the playoffs if the Spurs beat Sacramento on Monday. To that, Gay had a very candid and interesting response that could also be taken as a dig to Sacramento, per Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News.

A grinning Rudy Gay, when informed he can make the playoffs by beating his former team on Monday:  “Me getting to the playoffs and beating the Kings, all in the same day? Dot, dot, dot, dot … fill it in however you want to fill it in.”

Rudy Gay had a nice outing against the Blazers, scoring 16 points in 27 minutes of action off the bench. He also had four rebounds, three assists, and a block. On the season, Gay is averaging 11.4 points on 47.3 field goal shooting percentage and 5.1 rebounds per game.

Gay and the Spurs have not had many problems beating Sacramento in their first three meetings this season, as they won them all by an average margin of 10.3 points. If San Antonio ended up losing on Monday to Sacramento, the Spurs could still make the playoffs if the Denver Nuggets loses to the Blazers or if the Minnesota Timberwolves absorb a defeat from the Memphis Grizzlies.
