Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown was notably frustrated during the team's loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4. As a result, there has been plenty of speculation regarding his rapport with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

The two have struggled to produce their usual stellar numbers thus far in the 2018 NFL season. According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Brown admits his connection with Roethlisberger can fluctuate at times:

“It’s like Wi-Fi, you know,” Brown said. “Sometimes the connection is poor. Sometimes the connection is great. But it’s always connected.”

There is certainly plenty of truth to Brown's analogy. However, their inconsistent connection has been magnified by the presumed lack of communication between the two. Brown has since downplayed any notion of the two not being on speaking terms during the loss.

“Me and Ben laugh about you guys, creating drama, writing about us,” Brown said. “Trying to create adversity and distractions. We actually text about it, laughing, communicate a lot on text message about you guys.”

Regardless, there is no denying that the two have not played up to their standards. Brown and Roethlisberger have connected for 29 receptions, 272 yards, and three touchdowns. His 9.4 yards per reception are the lowest of his career.

He is not even the leading receiver on the team at this point. That designation goes to wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster. The second-year wideout has tallied 31 receptions for 416 yards, although he credits his early numbers to the attention that Brown garners. While it is encouraging to have a bonafide No. 2 option, there is no question that the Steelers must find a way to get Brown more involved.
