Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is confident that Antonio Brown will have a great season, despite his slow start. While Roethlisberger has thrown the ball 101 times this season, he hasn't connected with his favorite target as much as he'd like. However, Roethlisberger is confident Brown will pick up steam as the season progresses.

From Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:

“He’s been garnering a lot of attention for a long time now,” Roethlisberger said. “I think it’s early in the season. It’s two games in. First game, we had some elements that didn’t let me get the ball to him as much as I should have. Last week they put a lot of guys on him. But other guys were open, too. I’m not worried about A.B. He’ll be just fine.”

It only makes sense that Brown is the main focus of every defense the Steelers face, especially with Le'Veon Bell still out. Brown has recorded over 1,000 receiving yards in each of his last five seasons. The 30-year-old is entering his ninth NFL season this year and has already eclipsed 10,000 receiving yards for his professional career. He has been building chemistry with Roethlisberger since he joined the team in 2010.

Through two weeks, Brown has recorded 18 receptions for 160 yards and a touchdown. These numbers are nothing to scoff at, but he has just become accustomed to his typical supernatural levels of production. Intensive focus on Brown has allowed second-year wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster to record 18 receptions for 240 yards and a score.

Roethlisberger and Brown have become one of the most dangerous duos the NFL has ever seen. With time, they hope to capitalize on their chemistry and turn this season into a success.
