The Pittsburgh Steelers appear to be getting one of their offensive weapons back ahead of their Week 15 showdown with the Buffalo Bills. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, James Conner is expected to play through his shoulder injury versus the Bills.

Conner originally injured his shoulder during Pittsburgh's comeback win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 8. The team's starting running back missed the next two games before returning to the field in Week 11 against the Cleveland Browns.

Unfortunately, it didn't take long for Conner to re-injure his shoulder versus the Browns, causing him to be sidelined once again. Over the past three weeks, Conner has been working hard to get as close as he can to 100 percent.

After being able to be a full participant in practice throughout the week, Conner is returning to the offense on Sunday night. Even though he's rejoining the offense, it remains to be seen if he shares the backfield workload with Benny Snell and Jaylen Samuels.

In Conner's eight starts, he has struggled to get into much of a rhythm. The Pittsburgh product has rushed for only 390 yards on 102 attempts and four touchdowns. Additionally, he's hauled in 30 receptions for 242 yards and another two scores.

Those numbers are more concerning when you factor in that he had 145 rushing yards alone versus the Dolphins. Nevertheless, he'll look to finish the season strong as he returns on Sunday night against the Bills.

With a win, the Steelers can leapfrog the Bills for the fifth seed in the AFC playoff picture. Along with winning the game, Pittsburgh will be hoping to avoid Conner re-injuring his shoulder once again in Week 15.
