The Pittsburgh Steelers won in Week 13 over the Cleveland Browns to move their record to 7-5 on the year. That puts them in line for the final Wild Card spot.

However, Pittsburgh is tied with the Tennessee Titans when it comes to record. So there really is no margin for error at the moment. That makes this news a little tougher than it normally would've been. Which hurts, because this isn't good news to begin with.

Pittsburgh's star running back, James Conner, will not play in Week 14 against the Arizona Cardinals.

Conner has been dealing with injury issues all year long. He has appeared in just eight games so far. In that time, he has struggled for the most part.

Conner has 390 yards and four touchdowns on 102 carries (3.8 yards per carry). He also has 30 receptions for 242 yards and one more touchdown.

So the numbers are not miserable, but they are a far cry from last season.

Even with Conner not looking like his 2018 self though, he's still extremely important to the offense. So losing him for any amount of time is never a good thing.

Especially right now, when the Steelers are trying to secure a playoff spot.

Yes, the Cardinals are not a top-tier team. But they've proven on occasion that they can stick with anyone in the league on any given Sunday. Without one of their best offensive weapons, Pittsburgh could run into some trouble.

The saving grace is that Pittsburgh is actually 2-0 since the last time Conner appeared in a game. Now it looks like they'll need to survive at least one more game without him. Can they do it and keep their playoff hopes high?
