The Pittsburgh Steelers are now officially without current New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell, paving the way for the heralded AFC North franchise to feature fellow running back James Conner on a full-time basis. Although Conner served as the team's starter in the absence of Bell last season, the soon-to-be veteran rusher will now carry the majority of the workload alongside his partner in crime in fellow Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels.

As a result, Samuels believes that the tandem of he and Conner will serve as quite the one-two punch in 2019-20.

“I’m pretty sure it’s going to be something special put into the offense,” Samuels recently said, via ESPN. “They will have us start off in the backfield or I can start out wide or motion out.”

As for Conner, the former Pitt Panthers standout is healthy again while the Steelers rusher is ready to return to form in 2019-20.

“I'll have a similar role. I'm healthy, first and foremost; I'm 100 percent healthy now,” Conner said during a recent appearance on NFL Network, via ESPN. “We'll cross that bridge when we get there. But we have talent in that room. We have Jaylen Samuels, who's a tremendous receiver, a talented runner. We have Benny Snell. We know the work that he did at Kentucky. He's a hard-bodied runner, so all those guys will get touches. It'll be fun this year just seeing those other guys being successful.”

It is also worth noting that the Steelers also traded current Oakland Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown this offseason, giving a variety of players more responsibility on offense.
